The Industrial Data Plane

Pricing Aligned to How You Deploy and Scale

KŌJŌ Stack is licensed by deployment footprint - sites, nodes, and scale. Subscription is the recommended model. Perpetual licensing is available for procurement-led organizations.

Own the first mile. Control the data.

Purchasing Models

Two Ways to Buy. One We Recommend.

Most deployments should be on subscription - it carries support, scales cleanly as sites and nodes are added, and is the better economic fit for anything beyond a very small single-site footprint. Perpetual exists for organizations whose procurement cannot transact on subscription, and it is a fully supported way to buy.

Subscription

Recommended

An annual license covering the edge runtime, the MCP Server, and support. Five tiers scale from a free pilot through global enterprise, and capability is added as the deployment grows.

  • Support included in every paid tier
  • Fleet Management included from Multi-Site upward
  • Multi-year prepay fixes pricing and removes annual escalation for the term
  • Node and site capacity expand without repurchasing the platform
  • Starts free on Pilot

Best for teams standardizing a data plane they expect to grow.

Perpetual

Alternative

A one-time license per node, for procurement-led organizations that cannot transact on subscription.

  • One-time, per-node license with no annual renewal
  • Annual support required for updates and patches
  • No annual escalator
  • Fleet Management is SaaS only, added as a separate subscription

Best for capex-driven procurement and small, fixed single-site scopes.

Subscription Tiers

Licensed by Deployment Footprint

Tiers are set by the number of sites, the number of edge nodes, and the scale of the deployment. Every paid tier includes the full edge runtime with all protocol adapters - licensing reflects deployment footprint, not features. Each card keeps what the tier includes separate from what can be added to it.

Add-ons

  • OEM options, negotiated

Scope and terms negotiated. Multi-year and upfront discounts available.

Every paid tier includes

Edge runtime with all protocol adapters (OPC UA, OPC DA, Modbus, S7, BACnet, EtherNet/IP, DNP3, Sparkplug B, MQTT, Kafka), CEL transformations, multi-destination fan-out, durable buffered replay, UNS alignment, one MCP Server instance per logical site, and support.

Multi-year prepay

Subscriptions renew with an annual escalation unless a multi-year prepay commitment is in place. Two and three-year prepay terms discount the total and hold pricing flat for the committed term, and are available on every paid tier. Prepay is a commercial term, not an add-on.

Add-ons

What Is an Add-on, and Where It Applies

Four things are sold as add-ons. Everything else is either part of the tier or a commercial term. This matrix shows where each one is already included, where it is a separate line item, and where it does not apply at all.

Pilot is an evaluation tier and carries no add-ons. Perpetual is a licensing model rather than a tier, so it is shown as its own column.

When each add-on applies

Fleet Management

When you operate more than one site, or enough nodes that configuration, rollout, and monitoring stop being manageable one node at a time.

Included from Multi-Site upward, so it is only a separate line item on Starter and Site. Tiered by managed node count. Not available on Pilot. Fleet Management is SaaS only - there is no perpetual or self-hosted edition - but perpetual customers can subscribe to it alongside their licenses, and it does not count toward the node install base that support is calculated on.

Node uplift

When node count passes the cap included in your tier and the next tier up is not yet the right fit.

Priced per node per year and available on Starter, Site, and Multi-Site. Enterprise is sold with custom node capacity instead. Uplift is a subscription mechanism - perpetual customers add capacity by licensing additional nodes, which raises the install base and therefore the annual support fee.

Additional sites

When you bring a second or subsequent plant onto the data plane and are still inside your tier's site ceiling.

Site supports expansion to 3 sites in total; Multi-Site supports expansion to 8 sites in total. Starter is single-site with no site expansion, and Enterprise includes unlimited sites. Past the Multi-Site ceiling the deployment moves to Enterprise. Perpetual is licensed per node rather than per site, so site expansion does not apply.

Additional MCP Server instances

When a site needs more than the single MCP Server instance that comes with it.

One instance per logical site is included on every paid tier - for both subscription and perpetual customers, regardless of support. Additional instances are $8,000 each: a one-time charge under perpetual, a billable add-on under subscription. For perpetual customers each additional instance is added to the node install base, so it also raises annual support. Pilot does not include an MCP Server.

Distributed Operations

Fleet Management SaaS

Fleet Management is the control plane for distributed data planes. It is included with Multi-Site and Enterprise, and it is the one add-on that crosses both purchasing models - Starter and Site subscribers can add it, and so can perpetual customers.

Centralized Node Management

Manage configuration, health, and status of all distributed edge deployments from a single control interface.

Deployment Orchestration

Push configuration updates, namespace models, and pipeline definitions across sites with controlled rollout and rollback.

Operational Monitoring

Aggregate telemetry from all nodes including pipeline throughput, latency, module health, and resource utilization.

System Health Visibility

Real-time visibility into connectivity, data flow status, and error conditions across the entire deployment fleet.

Included

Multi-Site and Enterprise carry Fleet Management as part of the tier.

Add-on

Starter, Site, and perpetual customers add it as a subscription, tiered by managed node count.

Not available

Pilot does not include Fleet Management and cannot add it.

SaaS only. There is no perpetual or self-hosted edition of Fleet Management. A perpetual customer can still subscribe to it, billed annually and separately from the node support contract; those fees do not contribute to the node install base that support is calculated on.

Alternative Model

Perpetual Licensing

For procurement-led organizations that cannot transact on subscription. License fees are one-time and non-recurring, priced per node in volume bands. Annual support services are required to receive updates and patches, and are calculated on the cumulative value of the node install base as nodes are added.

Per-node license

A one-time license for each node, priced in volume bands so the per-node rate falls as node count rises. Capacity is added by licensing additional nodes.

Annual support

Required for updates and patches, and priced as a fixed percentage of the cumulative install base. As nodes are added the install base grows, and support is re-invoiced against the larger base.

MCP Server

One instance per logical site is included free with any active support contract. Additional instances are a one-time charge and are added to the install base, so they also raise annual support.

Fleet Management

Not available as a perpetual product. It can be added as a SaaS subscription tiered by managed node count, billed separately and excluded from the install base.

Worth comparing before you commit. Because support recurs against a growing install base, perpetual tends to be the cheaper option only at very small single-site node counts. Above that, subscription is usually the better total cost over a multi-year horizon, and multi-year prepay widens the gap. We are happy to model both against your actual footprint.
